Type of Information Collected – Log Files
As with most websites, data is collected in the web server log files. This is a commonly accepted practice and includes data such as web pages requested, date and time of request, the type of web browser used, the web page that referred the user to this website (if any), etc.
We use this information for determining things such as how popular the website is, whether traffic is increasing or decreasing over a period of time, which pages visitors find useful, the websites our traffic is coming from etc
Email Address and Social Media
The website allows early-access to podcast episodes for our Patreon supporters and a system for commenting on episodes through means of a social media plugin. The plugin creates an account on our system and requires a valid login from either Facebook, Google or Twitter. Login is not required to listen to audio on the public release schedule but is required to post a comment. The plugin stores the name, a procedurely-generated account name and an email addresses for each user for the purpose of indexing these accounts. Comments are public and may only be removed by the commenter or a moderator. This is the only information that is collected. The website offers a mailing list that notifies listeners of new episodes. It also requires us to store an email address to function. In compliance with EU laws, you may email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to delete your account and all personal data from our system.

Cookies and/or web beacons may also be used by third party websites who advertise on the website. These are typically used to provide more personalized advertising to visitors as well as enabling the third party to track user trends.
